No post game tonight because I am gonna be in bed, so I am making a few in game points:
Giambi is playing terrible, I think the big G needs some time off to rest. His average is back under .250 and he looks lethargic out there. It also may be time to retire the mustache.
When is a Yankee pitcher going to throw at Millar or at least brush him back? He is flat out killing the Yankees.
Is this season the beginning of the end of Derek Jeter being an elite player? He is hitting a paltry .285ish, and I say paltry because he has absolutely no pop in his bat. He never hits home runs and the double he hit today was the first time I have seen him drive the ball in what seems like ages.
Abreu also really has to pick his game up. Since there is no way the Yankees resign him for next year with the glut of outfielders we have someone should really let him know that he is playing for what probably amounts to his last big contract. Maybe the thought of him getting paid for the last time will get him to start hitting the ball like he used to (and hopefully still can).
One good thing is A-Rod continues to rake. His name should definitely be on the short list for AL MVP again, especially if the Yankees make the playoffs.
