Rehabbing Yankees slugging leftfielder Hideki Matsui suffered a setback in his rehabilitation the other day and season ending surgery is an option that is gaining steam. Matusi has been on the Disabled List since the 22nd of June. The knee injury kept him from playing the outfield before he went on the DL. So if Mr. Matsui is indeed done for the season...
Barry Bonds?
He is the most attractive option out there, baggage and all. Bonds' agent has said that Barry would play for the league minimum and could be ready in ten days. Bonds' perjury trial is not set to begin until next March so that will not be a problem. I think that the Yankees would have to take a good hard look at Bonds if Matsui is going to need season ending surgery.

Please say NO to Bonds. That is all.
I would cry if i had to watch barry bonds disgrace the yankee pinstripes in the last year of the stadium.
