More Sexson news

I just read a report by Ken Rosenthal on FoxSports regarding Richie Sexson. Apparently the Yanks are closing in on a contract with Sexson and Sexson would play first base against lefty pitchers to give some time off to Betemit, who has been playing a lot as of late. I think we all saw this coming and I have to admit that I think it;s worth a shot since it doesn't cost any money and you can always release Sexson if he doesn't perform. However, what is troubling is that in the article it says that instead of sitting in the dugout on the bench with his fellow hitters and fielders, Sexson had spent a game sitting in the bullpen. It's been said that Sexson has a bad attitude and this just confirms that. I don't think the Yanks need a malcontent in the clubhouse because this team is going to have to come together if they are going to make a push for the playoffs. Hopefully if this deal does get done Sexson realizes that this is his last chance and he changes his act...
