Richie Sexson

Recently, former Indian/Brewer/Diamondback/Mariner Richie Sexson was Designated for Assignment by Seattle. Various reports have circulated that he might be an option for the New York Yankees. So far this season Sexson has compiled a horrific line of .218 .315 .381 in 252 at bats. Richie also has 11 HR's and 30 RBI's this season. Perhaps the only aspect of his game that could net him another job somewhere is the fact that he can hit lefties exceptionally well, with a .344 .423 .623 line this year, compared to his .178 .281 .304 line against right handed pitchers. Richie's numbers against lefties this year are extremely higher than his career numbers. Sexson's career line against lefties looks like this : .265 .369 .510. I think the Yankees should take a chance on Sexson, this season he has been dominating lefty pitching and a major weakness of the Yanks is the inability to hit lefty pitcher. Sexson will only cost money, something the Yankee organization seem to have a lot of.
