The Yankees are known to have interest in Seattle lefty Jarrod Washburn. Washburns numbers look like this : 4-9 4.75 1.48 WHIP. Washburns numbers are not that good and I would be very hesistant to acquire him and his $10.35 million salary for next season. I don't think anyone really knows what the Yanks would give up for the underachieving lefty, some reports say that Igawa is in the deal, while another says he isn't involved in a trade. The Yankees have said they would talk about Melky Cabrera, Brett Gardner, or Justin Christian in the right trade.
The Yankees have not spoken to the Reds about pitcher Bronson Arroyo, but apparently may have scouted him. The Reds insist he is not available. Roy Halladay supposedly wants out of Toronto but I do not think the Yankees would give him their top prospects for him. I also don't think they would trade him to a team in the same division. That same sentiment goes for A.J. Burnett as well.
